Insomnia Sleep Disorder
The lights are off and your laying in the bed. You turn over and look at the clock and realize that it's been an hour since you laid down. You wonder if counting sheep will actually do any good. If this sounds like you, then you may suffer from Insomnia Sleep Disorder. The causes of insomnia can vary as with anything else. Stress appears to play a major role in a lot of areas. If yo uare feeling overloaded or overwhelmed it can often carry into the bedroom with you. More then likely you are not getting a good nights rest even when you do fall asleep. When the body is fatigued, it can p lay a major role in how your daytime activies will go. Some signs can include: One of the first signs to insomnia sleep disorder is a person lack of concentration. You have trouble focusing on something or even remembering things. With this also comes irritibility. When you are fatigued, you become more sensative to things and easily aggitated. While you may be suffering from insomnia sleep disorder, you may find yourself tired during the day. This can be extremely dangerous when you're operating equipment or even driving. Some sufferes have been known to fall asleep at the wheel while driving. If you have experience some of these sympstom for an extended period of time, you may want to consult your physician to be checked for an insomnia sleep disorder. So what exactly defines a sleep disorder? A sleep disorder can be defines as a loss of adequate sleep both in quantity and quality of sleep. There are two types of an insomnia sleep disorder. The first part is known as primary isomnia. This is the type that can be caused by a medical issue. The second type is known as secondary insomnia and is generally caused by a medication you are taking. As with many disorders, an insomnia sleep disorder can be short lived or last for an extended period of time.
Short term insomnia can come from job stress, someone dying, relationship issues, travel issues or even
environmental issues. Now long term is generally attributed to things like mental issues like depression, constant,
ongoing stress and pain. Some things to try at home include: listening to relaxation music, taking a warm bath with some lavender aromotherapy salts, turning all the lights out and clearing your mind of everything but sleep. An insomnia sleep disorder doesn't have to disrupt your life. Takes steps now to make sure you get a good nights sleep later. |
